Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about your ceremony? Here are answers to some of the most common questions couples ask about working with Weddings by Dennis.

I perform personalized wedding ceremonies, elopements, simple “I Do” ceremonies, vow renewals, and custom ceremonies throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Ceremonies can be traditional, modern, religious, non-religious, casual, or somewhere in between.

Absolutely. Your ceremony should reflect the two of you. Depending on the service you choose, we can incorporate your story, personal vows, readings, traditions, special wording, or other meaningful elements.

Yes. You're welcome to write and exchange your own vows, use traditional vows, or I can help provide wording and ideas if you're not sure where to start.

Yes. I work with couples to create a ceremony that respects their preferences, beliefs, traditions, and comfort level. Your ceremony can be religious, spiritual, secular, or a combination that works for you.

Yes. Weddings by Dennis welcomes all couples. My goal is to create a ceremony that feels comfortable, respectful, and authentic to your relationship.

It depends on the type of ceremony you choose. A simple “I Do” ceremony may take only a few minutes, while a personalized or custom ceremony will typically be longer. We'll discuss the ceremony length and structure beforehand so you know what to expect.

Yes. On-site wedding rehearsals are available as an additional service. A rehearsal can be especially helpful for larger wedding parties or ceremonies with processional details, readings, or special elements.

You are responsible for obtaining a valid Texas marriage license before the ceremony. After the ceremony, I will complete and sign the officiant portion. We'll confirm the process for returning the completed license to the appropriate county clerk so you know exactly what to expect.

I serve couples throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. If your ceremony is outside my normal service area, contact me with the venue location and I'll let you know about availability and any applicable travel fee.

As early as possible is always best, particularly for weekends and popular wedding dates. However, I also accommodate short-notice ceremonies when my schedule allows.

Yes, when my schedule allows. Last-minute ceremonies booked within 72 hours are available for couples who need an officiant on short notice. Contact me as soon as possible and I'll confirm availability.

Start by contacting me with your wedding date, time, venue or location, and the type of ceremony you're considering. I'll confirm availability and walk you through the next steps.
